Family Mediation
We support families through separation, divorce and childcare arrangements. Mediation gives both partners the chance to sit with an independent mediator and work out future plans for finances, property and parenting. It helps you look ahead and reach decisions that suit your family.
Children in Mediation
When children are involved, their needs sit at the centre of the process. If both parents agree, the mediator can meet the child or children privately to understand how they feel and what they need. This insight supports discussions, while parents remain responsible for the decisions.
The mediator carrying out child consultations has specialist training and an enhanced DBS check. Arrangements can be written into a parenting plan for both parents to sign.
Our Mediator
Deborah Butterworth FMCA is fully accredited by the Family Mediation Council. She has had 18 years’ experience resolving disputes. She is a trained Barrister and was Called to the Bar in 2013 having passed the Bar Professional Training Course.
